Old school death metal. End of review. Well, maybe I should elaborate to keep the editor happy. This one's complete with the super ultra distorted guitars, speedy riffs, hyper intensity, double bass drums and nasty growling. Of course none of these elements are bad things, but you must admit you've heard this stuff many times over and the old school death routine is becoming exactly that: old. In fact, Monstrosity are strikingly similar to Cannibal Corpse. A large reason for that is the singer, who is none other than current Cannibal Corpse vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher. Word is he finished recording this album before making the switch to CC. This is definitely a talented group of musicians. The riffs do show creativity and the solos grind out appopriately. This is still the best style of music to get your adrenaline pumping and inspire totally random violence, but there is still only so much that can be done with this genre. As a result originality is not a great possibility. If you're into death metal, old school style, then it is definitely worth your while to seek out a copy of "Millenium".
