"FMS" comes thundering with an incredible low end, one I didn't think was possible with a cassette, and is accompanied by some powerful drums a somewhat subtle lead guitar. "Prophecy" starts with a more intricate arrangement of the instruments providing for a very nice effect. Shortly after however it goes to the metal side of the music, maintaining the incredible low-end. The riffs are fairly simple, yet effective in their place in the music. Original solo'ing is attempted in the middle of this song, it is almost achieved, except it ends up a little too high pitch at places and doesn't blend well enough. "Northern Disease" really shows off some of the drumming talent of "..." before breaking out into a faster, aggressive, blast beat assault on your ears. Combined with the somewhat growly vocals, the total musical effect is extremely intense and powerful. And just to finish off any aural resistance you may left, the short last song rages and screams a bit, then this great demo comes to an end. Maniax however resides somewhere within the deaththrash genre. Overall "Prophecy..." is an excellent demo from the band known as Maniax.
P.S. I Swear the two sides sound slightly different, where the second side sounds a little better.
