Lull is disturbing dark music, where the title of this CD describes fully what is to be heard within. Nothing but pure, ambient, sombre, electronic darkness mixed with noisy, eerie, almost frightening infestation like components. While this style of music is nothing that you would likely want to actively listen to, if you sit around long enough it becomes increasingly disturbing and will alter you state to have a little bit, or lot of, ennui.
Basically if you enjoy Lull there is a whole rich world of dark music awaiting you, for in this genre, Lull is the extreme.
This is a four song predecessor to the one song "Continue" album.

The Archon Satani project is now complete. This sixth, and final, recording, "The Righteous Way To Completion" marks the end of the planned set of recordings by Stavöstrand. It is only fitting that this album ends with "Ende".
The music of Archon Satani is strictly about atmosphere; within you will not find melodies of keyboards or harmonies of vocals, only the emptiness created by the absense of all but ambient sound. Although it has hints of noise that can be found throughtout Soldnergeist or Brighter Death Now, this noise is only as an additional subtlety that plays an intergral role in the overall effect. With Archon Satani you will get to hear percussion, which is often not the case with dark music, but be assured this is of a rumbling or tribal nature more than anything else, and still does not create any particular energetic sequence. The drums in "Another Great Moment In Paradise" do a tremendous job of building anticipation for some great event that never happens, a theme quite consistant within the dark genres.
Archon Satani is a non-crossover, pure dark musical excursion that will be received differently by all listeners and never leave a definite impression as to what it is all about.

THO-SO-AA is an ambient band to the full extent of the term, there is no significant harmony, melody or otherwise. There are sounds that generally linger around and slowly fluctuate in or out of audible range, generally no more than a couple different sounds can be heard at a time -- all of course at low to lower frequences (part of the essence of much dark music).
THO-SO-AA and other bands like this, such as Lull, are the least likely to offend somebody, and the least likely to excite anybody; it is a kind of music that is hard to get into and begin enjoying, and will never likely be an active listening experience.

Inade is in the vein of almost pure ambient music, where the focus is strictly on a soundscape rather than musical complexity or melody. Inade oftens adds somewhat more complex sounds in the background that could be mistaken for mumbled speech or otherwise at times. Inade is quite fast for this kind of music, make no doubt that this is still undeniably slow, but with Inade the ambient sound is kept quite active and if you stretch yourself it would be possible to actively listen to this dark music.
"Aldebaran" is the dark counterpart to many of those nature sound CDs you can get in almost any store; that is it sounds somewhat natural, but with a dark twist on it.
