In Flames

Black-Ash Inheritance

(c)(p)1997 Nuclear Blast

Review by Neil St.Laurent

Okay, so maybe a review of this MCD really isn't warranted, it isn't really that new, nor does it offer too much from the band, but in the end is In Flames, and you may just have not known it existed. "Black-Ash Inheritance" is a four song shaped CD for the collectors out there.

The songs are "Goliaths...", "Gyroscope", "Acoustic Medley" and a live version of "Behind Space". As expected, there is a sampling of the melodic death metal In Flames has become known for playing: very moderate speed with a pleasant sound rather than a grating sound, complete with lead guitar and soloing. Of course the "Acoustic Medley" is just that, an acoustic medley.

Not much to say about this, if you buy it then it will most likely be for the same reason I did, becuase it's a shaped CD.
