Fast, yet not unrelenting, the guitars reliably deliver riff after riff. Granted, that riff is quite often the same as the one preceding it. Often at these speeds the transitions suffer, but not with "Warrior". Here the transitional segments are often quite technical and sometimes achieved with finesse. The heaviness varies anywhere from Iron Maiden to Cannibal Corpse, remaining generally somewhere in the middle. This unfortunately means a lot of the aggression of the music is to the credit of the vocalist, Johnny, with his mid-range growl. This isn't a problem except that at times Johnny's vocals just don't fit in well and you'd rather he quit singing so you can hear the music in the background.
All in all "Warrior" is a fairly average album. As a very consitent band, it is unlikely that Unleashed will probably release anything bad, but at the same time it's not likely they'll release anything that is excellent. This album should please those who like Metal and Death Metal and may or may not impress those who only listen to extreme death. Overall, Warrior is worth a listen or two.
