Accredited as the masters of modern Power Metal, Pantera have finally decided to let us have a live recording. As per usual they are extremely heavy and still have that attitude problem, something which is probably good for a live performance.
Definitely aware of how they became so popular, the lineup of songs on this live recording includes an impressive list of songs. After hearing some of them again, including "New Level", "Walk", "Hostile", "This Love" and even "Cemetery Gates", I now remember what turned me on to Pantera in the first place.
Ignoring everything the band members did prior to "Cowboys From Hell", this album definitely shows what a great series of albums Pantera has managed to produced. The fact that songs from "Cowboys From Hell", "Vulgary Display Of Power", "Far Beyond Driven", and "The Great Southern Trendkill" all sound great together on the same stage is amazing, even with the foreknowledge they are all great albums.
This album will hopefully tide you over until the next album is released. As an added bonus two studio tracks "Where You Come From" and "I Can't Hide" have been inserted on this recording. A definite for Pantera fans, and a definite for any metal fan.
