From Sweden this 5-piece comes to offer us their contribution to the metal scene. Opting not for an extreme music they've decided to go for the more traditional approach but with a few hardcore influences. To sum up the majority of the music we can basically say it's a palm-muted guitar driven sound with occasional sections of flowing melody. Although the second guitar could have been put to better use, the resulting sound is fairly decent. To accopmany this are the forceful vocals of Kalin.
Not quite achieving it the intended emotion is fairly aggressive and harsh. The production of this album seems to have leaned towards a cleaner sound rather than a more raw emotional sound -- which in this case is detrimental to the music.
This is just a short recording so there isn't much more to say. Generally I think it was a good idea for Spaps to not do an album right off. Overall Spaps would sound very good with a little bit better engineering and production. In the end it just sounds like this recording was forced and probably doesn't do justice to what Spaps is actually capable of.
